First Post

Here's my first blog post in the Sno-Isle 20 for 2.0 project.

For the record...
Roidh Manus (as in roidh.manus@gmail.com) is my dog Manny's official name. Actually it's Ursa Major's Roidh Manus. Roidh = reddish and Manus = the great one. This was because his breeder (of Ursa Major kennel) insists on naming all of the puppies with Celtic names, and any red brindle, like Manny, has to be "Roidh" something. We had planned on naming our drooly puppy "Mr. Manners" and call him Manny for short, thus "Manus."

The world of blogging is overwhelming to me. It seems like there are just too many sources of information, and really who wants to read all that garbage? And who will? In general I'm a pretty nonlinear person but come on. This is all just too much. At the same time, it feels good to have a place where I've officially documented where my dog's name came from. Does that mean I'm sick?
